Flower bed weed control is about 70 to 80 percent effective. That means far fewer weeds and far less time on your knees pulling them, but you may still need to pull an occasional weed by hand. We'd rather tell you that up front than promise a weed-free bed no one can guarantee.

Why two kinds of treatment? Pre-emergents work like a barrier in the soil, stopping many weed seeds from sprouting in the first place. Grassy weeds, like Bermuda runners and crabgrass that creep in from the lawn, need their own treatment, so we include three grassy weed applications at no extra charge.
