Norman's lawns change as you head east. The eastern part of the city, around Lake Thunderbird, takes in thousands of acres of lakes and Cross Timbers oak forest, so many east-side yards deal with heavy shade and tree roots. Bermuda struggles under that canopy, and fescue overseeding in the fall is usually the answer for thin, shady areas. Our tree and shrub care keeps the oaks healthy, too.

In central and west Norman, most lawns are sunny Bermuda, where steady pre-emergents and feeding keep crabgrass and summer weeds from taking over.
